R. Leonard Davis III

       Len was born in Delaware County, Pennsylvania and has resided his entire life in Southeastern Pennsylvania. In 1986 he and his family moved to Bucks County. Len has been practicing law since 1980 and is currently a partner in the Doylestown law firm of Drake, Hileman & Davis, P.C. His practice is focused on estate planning, estate administration, and business law.

 

Although he had an interest in the fine arts as a child, Len didn’t create much art, and had no formal art education, until meeting Niko Chocheli in 2011. Law is often referred to as a "jealour mistress," and Len found that his profession left little time or energy for other pursuits. In a fortuitous turn of events, Len’s son, Raymond Davis, began studying with master artist and teacher, Niko Chocheli, during high school. Raymond’s studies with Niko provided the portfolio he needed to be accepted to Pennsylvania Academy of the Arts (“PAFA”) where he graduated in 2015 with a fine arts degree. Raymond is now a professional oil painter and is finishing up a BFA degree from The University of Pennsylvania.  Some of Raymond's art can be found here:

Since taking classes with Niko, Len’s skills as an artist have blossomed and matured. Studying Art History from Niko in his Chocheli School of Fine Arts has opened up wondrous vistas for him in previously unknown realms of art and artists. (Niko has an amazing ability to make art history come alive in fresh and interesting ways!)

 

Len’s media of choice are pen and ink and watercolor, and his favorite genre is landscape. Like Niko, his mentor, Len has a passion for illustration of Biblical stories. He looks forward to developing skills in other media, especially colored pencil and oil painting.

 

Len received his bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Eastern College in St. Davids, Pennsylvania (1977) and a law degree from Villanova Law School (1980).  His hobbies include gardening, building, guitar, writing, illustrating, drawing and painting.

 

Len loves spending time with his wife Kristina, two sons who still live at home, three married daughters, three son-in-laws, six grandchildren, and his beloved golden retrievers and cats. Len and his family live in Bedminster Township, Pennsylvania.
